LHCb Experiment at CERN

Analysis

Our group is actively involved in the LHCb collaboration Our focus in the data analysis is:

• the precision measurement of rare decays of B hadrons to search for physics beyond the Standard Model, see for example these recent publications:
  • Test of Lepton Flavor Universality with $B^0_s\to\phi\ell^+\ell^−$ Decays
  • Tests of lepton universality using $B^0\to K^0_S\ell^+\ell^−$ and $B^+\to K^{\ast +}\ell^+\ell^−$ decays
• and the measurement of the production of helium and antihelium nuclei by coalescence of baryons and antibaryons:
  • Presentation by Hendrik Jage at the EPS-HEP2023 conference
  • Presentation by Dan Moise at the ICHEP conference (2024)

Hardware

We had a leading role in the development of the LHCb Scintillating Fibre Tracker. Currently, we are involved in the development of the LHCb Cryogenic SciFi Tracker.
